Robert AM Stern, newly appointed Dean of the YSA had a simple design brief — surprise people. He wanted to show the School as a hotbed of architectural thought — diverse and inspiring. The identity we created used a shifting mix of typefaces and graphic devises. Never the same twice, this loud, ecclectic look was celebrated and is now in the permanent collection of MoMA SF.
